IIT's Lift curtain, reveal JEE cut-off marks

The Indian Institute of technology have emerged frm their veil of secrecy, revealing the cut-off marks fro gaining admissio through the just-concluded Joint entrance Examination(IIT-JEE) for the firrst time in IIT-JEE's five decade history, the chain of institutes havs revealed the minimum qualifying marks in each subject, and in aggregate form for various categories of students.

The Cut-Offs
General Category:35% of total marks(408 and 14 each in chemistry, physics and maths.
OBC:31.5% of total marks and 13 each in all the 3 subjects.
SC, St, and PD:17.5% of total marks and 7 each in all the above subject.

What' more, the Shanker-Shed mushaira, hosted by DCM Shriram group since 1959 in its 48th edition this year, went live on the web with the site clocking a record 34,125 hits as opposed to 239 hits on March 1.
